Wordle Battle

Wordle is a popular online game based on the 1970s board game "Mastermind" and its 1975 follow-up "Word Mastermind."

Wordle was created by Josh Wardle. Here is his original Wordle.

How To Play

  • Guess the secret word in 6 tries.
  • Each guess must be a valid 5-letter word from the Wordle list of valid words. Use the enter button to submit.
  • After each guess, you will get the following feedback:
    • A green letter shows a correct letter in the correct spot.
    • An orange letters shows a correct letter in the wrong spot.
    • A gray letter does not feature in the secret word.
For example, here is the feedback for a guess of the secret word MAPLE:

How to Win. Discover the secret word in fewer guesses than your opponent. If it's a tie, the winner is the first person to share their game board.

How the Multi-player Game Works.
  • Player 1 starts the game by inviting at least one other player.
  • A link is sent to all the players, giving them the same wordle to discover.
  • All players play individually and present their boards at the end.
  • The player with the fewest guesses wins. In the event of tie, the fastest of the tied players wins.
